| LOGO COLOURS Lions are people who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local and world communities. Lions strive to help those in need, by conducting service projects and raising funds. The Lions motto is "WE SERVE". The Lions emblem consists of a gold letter "L" on a circular PURPLE field. Bordering this are two lion profiles at either side facing away from the centre. Symbolically, the lions face both past and future, proud of the past and confident of the future. The word "LIONS" appears at the top and "INTERNATIONAL" appears at the bottom. The royal colours of PURPLE and GOLD were selected as the official colours of lions International. Purple stands for the loyalty to friends and to one's self and for integrity of the mind. Gold symbolizes sincerity of purpose, liberality in judgement, purity in life and generosity in mind, heart and purse towards humanity. |
